Hey everyone,
I'm a film student at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts moving into my senior year this coming fall, and I'm currently in the pre-production process of my senior level thesis film. The film is not-for-profit.
My story
is a heart-warming fantasy adventure about an innocent 8 yr old farm boy who, in the midst of a changing world, doesn't quite seem to fit in. After befriending a dieing forest spirit, he finds for the first time a place where he is truly happy, but not all things are well when a mysterious man from the new nearby industrial world shows up in the small community.
I'll be shooting on either Super 16mm film or perhaps 35mm film, and I have a fairly modest budget which will just make it in terms of covering all of the elaborate wardrobe, make up, location, & special effects costs.
I'm currently looking for:
- A concept artist to help design my characters and create some beautiful still shots that represent the emotional moments of my story, in order to help my Art Department design the project and to otherwise inspire others involved.
- A storyboard artist who would be willing to work with me to storyboard my camera shots, which is very important for myself, my director of Photography (who will be shooting my film), and my crew in general for understanding the visuals.
I'd be happy to share my script privately with anyone who might be interested. The total page count is ~ 20 pages, which is ~ a 20 minute final film.
What I can offer:
Though I cannot offer financial compensation, you will of course be accredited as can be expected for your work.
Additionally, your work will be included with all press-kits related to the film, which will be submitted to film festivals around the country. I will also provide a copy of the final film in any format requested which can be used for showcase purposes as you see fit.
Contact:
I will check back these forums, as well as any private messages I receive. I can also be contacted VIA e-mail at the following address: mg3169@nyu.edu
I look forward to hopefully working with some of you very talented guys soon! Thanks for reading my case!
