I like the dynamic pose a lot.
But the anatomy of the girl is really off. Her hips and ribcage really could not be that far apart, and the pelvis is turned at such a different angle her spine couldn't flex at.
Your style and idea has great potential you just need some more reference to get it to work.
PS her boots and leg covers are realy cool, nice costume design.

I dunno, man, I think she looks more Japanese than anything...

All kidding aside, I think you've got a strong basis here. I'd add a little hint of a kneecap on the left leg (right now it looks a little round for a leg), maybe fix up the right hand as has been suggested.

I love the coloring on this. Is that colored pencil? Very nice.

I really appresiate all of the comments. Good constructive critisism is always needed to move forward. Anyways, the drawing is 19" x 24" and it's done in colored pencils and markers. You're right about the proportions, I guess I always sacrifice the anatomy for the dynamic pose. Hehe and the thumb, well I was trying to do something another concept artist did (I thought it looked great), but when coloring it I lost the line art (sketch). Ops! Unfortunately I can't do anything to the image because I cant erase anything.... o well, maybee next time. Thanx again for the comments

Hey thanks for posting the sketch! It's always great to see some of the artist progress.
As for the colored one, you could always take a digital picture of it, or scan it in to get it in a computer, then edit in photoshop or something like that, if you have PS, or you could probably find the demo version of PS online at adobe if you wanna try it out too.

Your sketch is really nice, I think your work is really strong in line quality. I get the turned-in-toes anime girl pose of her feet, but you might wanna at the right side of the image foot, her heel/ankle is a little broken if it's at that angle.
Is there a specific reason why she's the color she is in the sketch? I kind like it not being gray graphite I guess, it gives her something else warmer than regualr pencil.
Cool sketch, love to see more.

Yea, I scanned it in PS.... in 6 sections (because of the size)... I tried to mess around with it but the pensil strokes are hard to imitate and/or clone.

For the sketch, I used Stanford pencils... you can actually erase the marks like regular pencils and they come in different colors.

Thanks for the comments!:chug:
