Well hello everybody! After seeing Forms thread and others following his actions, I decided to start one up in similar fashion and hope that it will also help me and Kent in our journey to continue our drawing and help us to stay motivated and become better on our travels! So the rules will be exactly like Forms.
I am giving Kent first move. So Kent choose your drawing and lets get the ball rolling!
C&C is welcome throughout the postings, and continue to watch. This will be FUN! :chug: :chug:
Just to remind everybody incase you have no idea what I meant when I mentioned "Forms" thread. Well ok, I gave Kent the first move, so Kent had to go and draw a topic (mouth), which then I had to come back with my own (mouth). Then its my move, I have to go and draw my own topic, then Kent has to come back with his version of the same thing. And so on and so on. Well hope you all keep viewing and posting any C&C.

Hey, if you ppl havent allready known my name is Kental McNasty, I am a friend of snowballs, and he started wanting me to come to this site and start drawing again. I never drawn anything in the longest time, as I recall it was back in grade 11 and I graduated in 2003. Well I glad that I am back into drawing, but anyways here is my first submission of a mouth, too cool:D
Later on Snowball:chug:

Yep I desided that the next one be quite hefty, actually I could not come up with nothing so I have desided to use a random word generaitor to help me deside, the word that came up was supernova:jawdrop: oh well I will not back down from it...it shall be very interesting...
Ok well I am in the process now and its not really hard as such, but long to do...to much area to cover since there is more dark then light...damn..:mrt:
Snowball
February 20th, 2004, 07:19 AM
Kent, I don't want you turning this into a DSG! We already have one of those, I want to keep this based around the study of certain things not really Conceptual Drawing, thats what the DSG is for. I'll see what your talking about and go from there!
I do believe what your doing is more of a ceoncept drawing due to the fact that anybody may take "supernova" how they please. I read that it was a huge explosian in space or something. Ya I think your getting the wrong idea of this thread Kent...or is it just me??
Kental_McNasty
February 20th, 2004, 01:31 PM
Ok, I dont personally like this one, I am not the best at shading when the majority of the shading is dark. But I learned from it.
I have 2 copys, my unedited and edited, I wanted it to look abit better so I tweaked it abit...
My unedited...

Snowball
February 20th, 2004, 03:07 PM
Well Kental! As I was listening to Dr. Phil from my room, I was sketching up this "explosion". On paper it looked rather nice and I thought I was finally achieving the essence of an explosion, but the scanned copy just isn't exciting anymore. Have a gander!
http://img5.photobucket.com/albums/v14/Snowball/Art/Explosion.jpg Well the next topic will be up tomorrow!
Snowball
February 20th, 2004, 04:39 PM

Yes by, kinda got rushed at this one, since I was working all day and then Snowball came up after I was back for 10 min to watch RAW. But yeah, and I got a hard time coming up with the next topic, but since wrestling is on my mind I will draw a study of goldbergs spear, I know its kinda like a DSG, but it can work and all thats on my mind is the match against Goldberg and Brock at WrestleMaina XX with Stonecold as the special ref.
Ahh "poo" I frogot to attach the pic :p

February 25th, 2004, 02:53 PM
Well after a day of trying to find a decent Reference photo of good ol Goldberg! I came across one that I finally used. The human anatomy is still a weakness of mine, and I still don't understand how to draw faces especailly trying to make them look like the person I am drawing. Well any comments would be welcome. But enough talk from me, Here is Goldber. "You can imagine yourself, that Brock is about to receive this upcoming SPEAR WOOOO!:punch:

I decided I wanted to do a portrait for this next study. I picked Snoop Dogg! Originally all my portraits (2) were done using the "scaling method" (if thats what its called). I often hear that alot of people dislike that method and think its a cop out. So I went and read Fred Flickstones Tutorial on Heads. This tut is awesome, it helped me out that much with this next drawing! I am not quite sure if I acheived the essence of Snoop Doggs features, but overall I am pleased with my drawing and happy with the outcome! Thank you Fred whereever you may be!

Well here I am again after a wild snow storm screwed up my internet connection when the power went out. I finally got this sketch done. (reference used from "reference" section) I tried giving her muscles and twist a bit more drama not sure if I achieved what I had in mind though. Have a look.

Well everybody back again finally with my next topic! This next sketch I was asked to do by a friend of mine. It is his car, a 93 Ford Tempo. I really have trouble with Perspective, the only practice I ever done with perspective was a box or rectangle. SO I really have no idea how to use perspective and drawing other shapes. any and all comments are welcome.http://img5.photobucket.com/albums/v14/Snowball/Art/Tempo.jpg
