Does anybody know of a good resource on the web for looking up different types of animal's muscular structures? I am currently specifically looking for a Raccoon, but if there is a great over all source with many animals, that would be awesome too.

I'm doing some modeling for a Raccoon character I've been developing, but with all my searching I haven't been able to find any pics of their muscular structure.

Thanks for any help.

Not very detailed - but you might get a better idea of what the anatomy is like under the fur.

Forgot to include this one:

Lots of the pictures on this site include a second view of the mannikin.

I saw this thread and decided to run searches on different kinds of animals muscular anatomy. Enjoy:D;)

Canine anatomy (http://anatomical.com/product.asp?pm870PU)

Equine (horse) anatomy (http://skfservices.com/acatalog/Equine_Anatomical_Charts.html) (P.S. You will probably have to save it then zoom in or take a screen shot or something.):D

Here are some photos of a dead feline's muscles:huh::wtf::confused: (http://www.bio.psu.edu/faculty/struass/anatomy/musc/muscular.htm)

Well, thats all I got right now.;)

A book that might help (and that I have on my shelf for reference) is An Atlas of Animal Anatomy (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0486200825/qid=1078091426//ref=pd_ka_1/102-4564699-3253704?v=glance&s=books&n=507846) . It has been very useful thus far.

An also, if you ever have the cash, get one or two of these (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/4871990478/qid=1078091533/sr=1-6/ref=sr_1_6/102-4564699-3253704?v=glance&s=books) . The books are full of models (nude in my 2 books - could vary with othes) in various seated, standing, etc positions. They're currently out of print, according to amazon. I got mine at Borders, but I think that was six years ago. Keep your eyes open at your local used book store.

Hope the animal book helps! :)
