I think that this is really interesting as an image, and that it begins to move beyond that, but I think it may just need more of a context, to really move from cool image, to concept.
The textures that you are getting here are really interesting, and the subtle flower-ness of the heart shape are very well designed.
I hope you post more soon, I'd love to see more of your work.
