Wow. Now that is a sweet bust. I like that you've given Captain America an iconic yet original face, something apart from the cookie-cutter, square-jawed Ken doll look that I see so often in depictions of various super heroes (not that there's anything wrong with that). This just feels more real and lifelike than I'm used to seeing. Bravo!

Wow Dude! This is a show stopper! Right on the button Mate. OK if you are going to paint it bronze consider the ancient marble method with the eyes. (seen in a lot of greek and roman sculpture) They would scribe a very fine circular line to delineate the iris and then in the centre of the eyeball create a small hollow with a tiny little triangular wedge of material (identical in each eye), which if done right, appears that a flash of light is coming back off the eye just like in real life. Great work Man.

Most excellent!:)
Great take on ol' cap, I like the bronze idea but I'd would love to see this painted in full colour as well.
Awesome work:)

Nifty! More of an Ultimate Cap than classic Cap?
Very well-detailed, too. Those scales are giving me the heeby-jeebies.

Wow, that face is incredible, it has a degree of character I have never seen before in a super hero. That is absolutely fantastic to see!
Hey, I keep on asking in every thread, but never get an answer. You can bake sculpey with the wooden piece and it wont catch fire?

I think to paint it Bronze would be a big Mistake, Mold it and offer Copies!
Then paint a copy in a Bronze style!!
Great Job!

I love this, man. He looks like a tough guy from the 30s or 40s. His nose looks like he's gotten into a few scraps.

I am in awe!! It has a very nice watchmen feel to it... looks so real. Did you use a Roman emperor bust for some reference?
-And I believe the medium is super sculpey, correct me if I'm wrong here.
In fact I'm just starting up a Frankensteins Monster bust, and I-shit-you-not have been sitting and drawing meaty mouthmuscles for the past couple of days.. You nailed THAT perfectly, and I'm gonna look like a bad copy-cat :)

I don't know how I missed this, I found it at the bottom of the page. This is sooo good. The emotion is so palpable, he looks sad or thoughtful. Great job, I certainly hope you continue to produce more work.
