I have a question based on a video I saw. Two canvases were being painted on at the same time...one close for detail...and the other for composition...they were able to hop back and forth between the two on the fly...painting on one and it showing up on the other and vice-versa...any help would be awesome

you can do that in photoshop cs4, because you can put a clone window in from of the other one, you can even see it in grayscale, just click on window, and on the first option go there and go all the way down to new window, its the same file but in two windows, so what ever you do in one the other one affects too, i do that a lot.

it's not a cs4 feature, this was possible from ages ago.. I am pretty sure I was doing it from PS7 (don't quote me on it..it's been a while, but definitely from cs and upwards.) .. and using cs3 now and have two open right now. One at 25% (usual size for showing) and 100% for details. You can even open as many as you want. just go to windows > arrange > new windows
