I was working from a picture someone posted and decided to shade it with Pantones. Looking at it now though, I don't think I like it.
Here's what I worked from:

My monitor is too small to fit the whole pic. :/
Found a weekly session downtown...happy to be doing some more life drawing! I bought a small tripod/easel thing for it but I think I need a larger size of sketchbook.

ugh Smoking pot doesn't always help you to draw. Only got one drawing that was okay last night.
Still learning my way around the markers.

Your paints are very good. I want to ask you if you use bones to start all your drawings. I have a serius problem with draw in perspective, i cant draw a pose if i dont know how many centimeters i have to reduce this leg to make it in perspective.
Well job and bye

I don't use bones in my life drawing.
Do you know how to measure by eye ? I use the tip of my pencil and thumb to measure the face and see how many faces tall the body is. I use another reference for how wide the body is. I end up with an invisible grid.
It takes alot of practice to master this and I'm nowhere close but it helps alot with the trickier perspectives.

try not to outline evrything, focus on bone stucture and the curvature of muscle shape. you have an eye for it, you just need to refine your teqnique. keep it up

wow thats a pretty interesting model setup in that 4th picture.. from life??
yeah your overall proportions arent bad at all, but you need to be more sensitive in the contours, and vary the line weights according to the light and/or volume..

Main Loop: Yea, it is from life. It's not a very big class and generally, I'm stuck with whatever angle I get. I like that they've set up a light to emphasize the shadows though. I'll try to keep contour and line wieght in mind @ my next class!
nonlinear: Thx for the comments. I actually noticed that aspect of it when I was drawing, but old habits die hard. :P

And a quick question. I noticed while I was drawing last night that my shadow color seems to dark. What do you think? Next time I might try taking the lighter shade and go over the area twice.
