i would leave those out! btw nice pic but it really looks more like a kangaroo! :D

I really like the stylization you have, with the use of your color and line work. You might want to consider creating better defined lighting though, to allow some of those intricate details you're creating to really stand out. The anatomy of the hips/legs seem to have some strange perspective too, maybe some reference of people posing for ya might help.
Your technique and style and color systems are all strong though, I like the pose you've given the monster too.
