Hi all,
I'm new to this board, so try and be gentle with me! :)

I want to get my website+portfolio of work up to scratch this year and I wonder if anybody would like to take a peek at my website
( http://www.chriswaller.com ) and tell me what they think I should concentrate on.

I'm currently working in the games industry, and don't get masses of spare time to spend on 2d and traditional stuff - but I do try to squeeze in as much as I can when I get a chance.

Any feedback I can get from you talent-heavy fellas(and ladies) which would help me get things ship-shape would be really appreciated and help me sharpen up.

I guess the main thing is that I love to draw monsters, and I want to get better! I need your help! :D

feedback can be posted here or sent to wallasaurus@aol.com or admin@chriswaller.com

cheers :)

My main crit is to take each piece to the same level of finish. For example, don't render out the face but leave the rest of the body as outline. It's okay to have sketches in your portfolio but if all your pieces have an uneven finish we start to wonder if you can finish. On that one sketchbook page you should take out the holes from where it goes in a binder. Don't forget to show only your best stuff. Your only as good as your weakest piece. I hope you continue persuing art. Oh yeah, the website, a moneyshot image at the home page or knocking up the size of your name would be good. Make sure people leave remembering your name. The 3d stuff looked very nice. Maybe you could put that super tank at the beginning. Good luck Chris.

I agree with the money shot on the first page.....something really to your liking that will make people want to search through your site.
I wouldn't clutter your site with too many halfdone sketches. Some are a good touch but cleaner line work I think is better..

Not bad at all though:beer:
