Here is the first part. I was a dumbass and forgot to include part 2 on my thumbdrive while transfering this info over to here. This was in response to a question asked on Sijun about what has this to do with me and my work. This is only one example, but it works for everything you will ever do in art of any kind. This is just a small glimpse of this thought.

Ron, These are just awesome. I have been a traditional painter for a few years. And I just picked up painter 8 and the transition between the two is a lot harder then I thought especially with color. I usually use three tubes of paint (watercolors) and I get a full range of the colors and values I need But with painter 8 I just cant wrap my small mind around how to get the right colors that I want. And these are helping. So thanks.

Thank you for this! it is more helpful to hear the same ideas said in a diffrent way sometimes :D

How do you know what kind of chroma range to use? i am new to pianting and using colour so this subject is very interesting to me. i don't understand how you can tell what is in that range when you are working? i see what you say and i kind of understand what you are telling me. i find it very interesting that you use different colours for the sand but it all seems to work and fit together. right now that is what my painting teacher is getting us to do. i had to grid out a canvas and draw my still likfe, and every box has ti have some kind of shift whether it be value intesity warm cool and so on. this is a new realm and i am totally interested.

sorry for the non important rant :D thank you very much for this!
