I thought I'd post some work as a way to keep myself learning and drawing. I haven't visited CA.org in a while and I am impressed with the quality of work being posted and what a great community it has become. I'm a trained as an architect, so I mostly do environments, but I'm currently developing my work as a concept artist, illustrator and storyboard artist. Most of the drawings are old school with a pencil, but I'm trying to get a better handle on using my wacom. Help and comments are welcome. Mostly, I just want to draw more.

Cheers

I'm a fan of science fiction so i find your work great.

Maybe you can use your knowledge as an architect to draw bigger construction. Like imagine a medieval castle building on Mars, how the heavy gravity affect the foundations, the wind, etc... and add some creatures also conditioned by the environment.

You can continue to draw with pencil then use your wacom for the coloring.

Great work !

Here's a few more:

TheGeek - Thanks for your encouragement and suggestions, I like the idea of taking a particular attribute like gravity and increasing it, and then exploring the results. You mentioned Mars, as it turns out I've studied Mars habitats, the gravity is not that much more than ours, but interestingly gamma rays are the biggest concern for long term survival. A single gamma ray travels through you killing each cell along the way, Earth's magnetic field protects us. Suggested response on Mars is to build against a cliff and put your water supply above you, H20 with hydrogen and oxygen atomically make the best barrier... I must draw that.
