View Full Version : Where can I get a good painter 8 tutorial?

I've been trying to work with Painter 8 (I'm a photoshop guy) and I'm finding it difficult to get used to. I'd like some tutorials, but NOT necessarily on how to use Painter, but rather the process one goes through to create a painting.

I looked at some tutorials here, but there is only 1 or 2 of the type i;m looking for. I want to know the process to achieve a painting, not color theory or pencil sketching or something.

Here is another tutorial I WISHED would work, but it doesn't... the end result looks really cool though and im looking to see how he made it.

Hi,
i know it's not really a tutorial,
but the book by don seegmiller,
digital character design and painting is really good,
and he uses painter (v7 but it's the same for v8)
