We are currently developing a new card game for the ipad/iphone and are in need of about 60 artworks for the cards. It's a small team of a coder, UI guy and game designer, working on the game, and we don't have a budget at this time.
However, despite being posted in the non-paying job section, there is a revenue share opportunity. We are seeking great fantasy artists who can contribute at least 5-10 images to the project. If your art is accepted and used in the game, you will receive a percentage of the game's revenue. The percentage varies depending on how many images we license from you.
War of Thunder is based on Norse mythology, and it involves single player campaigns with gods, humans, and giants.
We seek fantasy images in the following categories: characters, creatures, beasts, weapons, and artifacts.

We will determine whether the images will work for our game and get in touch with you. It's OK if your piece is not strictly something from norse mythology, we will consider any high quality pieces in the categories listed above. Licensing, what's that?
Licensing is a way for a business to use your image for a specific purpose (in this case to be in a game for ipad/iphone) without buying full rights to it. The advantage of licensing over commission work is that you still own your image and can license it to other businesses if you choose to do so, whereas commissioned work is the property of the company that paid to have the commission done. In our case if you do new work for us you will license the finished piece to us so you will still own the rights to it in the future.
