Okay! I've been lurking around this site for a bit so I decided to get off my lazy butt and join! I'm kinda a noob at this, only ever been on DeviantArt, but this place seems more constructive and helpful than DA. =]
I'mma bit nervous uploading my stuff considering all the amazing artists I've seen on here I feel slightly intimidated, silly I know but I shall do my best! 8D
Just some quicky stuff;
You can call me Faith (not my real name haha), I'm currently finishing a National Diploma in Art & Design and will hopefully be attending an art college in October. My art is kinda all over the place xD I'm mostly traditional & I wanna do Illustration, of what kind I'm not quite sure so any advice, help ect is greatly appreciated.
Lets start with some crappy sketchy line work! Sorry for lack of colour I'll upload some when I get my sketchbooks back from my tutor. x3

This was a thumbnail drawing (that was actually about A4 xD) for a recent college project, just some mixed media. Scanner kinda messed it up though. :T

This was a painting I did a few weeks ago that I only did for my portfolio for an interview I had. I usually spend a day or 2 (sometimes more) on a painting but this was done in a few hours as I was in a hurry to finish it so it'd be dry for my interview day. Came out a bit too anime looking but that's probably because I didn't spend much time on it. =]

I'll see if I can get some of my life drawing paintings up today as well.

Interesting stuff. I like your pen and ink stuff the best. I kind of feel like you're drawing and painting the same face over and over again though. Perhaps this is intentional, but if it isn't, you should consider drawing some portraits from life. Working from life will help flesh out your style and also help to make more deliberate choices in the look of characters.

@ aimeemcfarlane: Ah thank you! & I see what you mean. x3 I have got some life studies of portraits it's just that my tutor has them all at the moment. xD

Okay I haven't updated for a bit 'cause I've started a new project at college so I've been busy with that but here's a load of stuff. =]
Just a side note there's lots of portrait type things in this upload and I've only been drawing realistic type faces for about a month before then it was mostly children type drawings just so you know why their so terrible. x3

Like Omert said, really digging your style, would love some more updates. Cheers. On the last one, the chick with the blue hair, the right eye socket should be more visible, as well as a little bit of the eye ball from the angle you've got it at. Cheers.

Sorry I'm not very consistent with updates busy busy! =]
@OmertA: Haha thank you! =]
@Metal Fingers: Thank you! Update I shall. =] I had drawn her eye in but it kept looking off so eventually I got annoyed and painted over it haha probably not the best idea. x3
So I'm into the second week of my final major project so I haven't been updating here (whoops). It's all research and stuff so I haven't been drawing as much but I will be shortly so I've got some updates from my previous project I forgot to upload last time. Also some Alice concepts since I've chosen Alice In Wonderland as my theme (original I know). xD
Also I found out I got accepted into my college of choice with a conditional offer! 8D WHOO! So I'm a happy girl.
These were all concepts for my final piece on my last project, mixed media. =]

Very quick (and crappy) ideas for my version of Alice, still rough and early to decide yet though.

I dunno why I drew this, bored probably. xD Done in the style of Julie West, I love her style. <333
