Here is a wip that has been keeping me away from the demon head. It is a cerebrus maquette. Cerebrus envisioned as a flayed 3 headed dog. the skulls are white because I sculpted one in oil clay then cast it in plastic so I wouldnt have to sculpt three and one extra was also passed to the modeler for reference before he got the maquette to help him complete the full dog in maya.
Otherwise the sculpt is super sculpy and wire armature. Baking in layers based on the muscles. Deep layer baked first, then superficial layers. Reference used was Ellenberger Dietrich and Baums Atlas of Animal Anatomy.

Frederico and Scotty: Thanks! Im glad you guys like it!
certaintragedy: Thanks man. I would reproduce it but due to time constraints I had to make a single wire armature which does not disassemble. I might cut and mold it later but doing so would be pretty difficult since I didnt have time to plan for that process from the begining.
Thanks again!

Great job using reference to create your own idea!
You really made the cerebus three-headed dog graceful. Awesome.

wow, this is cool. the quality of stuff in the 3d section has been getting better and better in the last little while
whenever someone tries to draw a picture or something of cerberus they never do it justice, but i could see this thing guarding the gates of hades
im just curious, how big is it?

Wow thanks! I am glad you guys dig the sculpt! I tried as hard as possible to keep away from the bulky "fluffy" cerebrus look and stay with something more streamlnied and fierce. I tend to be frightened more by long slender figures than stout bulky ones, maybe cause they seem so much faster and dangerous.
As for size it measures about 1' long X 1/2' tall.
BTW poopinmymouth: I go to your Alma Mata! Kirt Witte says Hi : )
