very nice! Good consistent perspective and the figure reads well in silliuette.
You should ink it and push the forms even further.

Only thing I would reccomend is to break up the form on the middle forearms, They are rather blocky compared to the nice detail in the rest of the figure.

really nice drawing i like the concept here. the only thing that bothers me is that the gun feels a little wierd with its current placement. that is all. good stuff :D

Thanks guys. Yea I realized the perspective on the gun is a little wonky but hopefully I can fix that in the painting.

doppel - I hear you the forearms don't "match" the rest, maybe I'll do something to them in while painting, maybe not. Good call tho.

Here's an update. This might constitute the thread as a WIP so sorry if it shouldn't be here :P

Whoooaa! Great work! I love his stance and the whole forced perspective thing which may artists love to hate... great finishing work too!

isn't that Hawkpreys' personal trainer ? ;)

My only crit (tiny tiny minuscule) is the characters' right big hand. The fist could look more "powerfull". Maybe it's the perspective that's not flattering it, but I think it could benefit from a little tweakage.

That's a killer picture man. The only crit I have is that the trigger hand is not holding the gun properly. It would be on the outside of the gun, not going around behind it. It's coming off as being a little akward right now... other than that, it rocks mad ass! Peace

Hey - thanks everybody. Good crits and lots to think about, even though it's a bunch of small specific things, they totally matter. In other words, good eyes folks, and thanks.
I'm using the excuse that I'll fix a lot (like perspective, for exampe) while I paint it. Hopefully I actually will :P

Phuzion - wtf man that was in front of my face the whole time. I've even drawn hands like that before! I knew it felt funny for some reason! Hehe, I wonder if it's too late to fix. Thanks man.

Thanks all who replied, much appreciated! It's 4 am so this entry is ending... now.

despite the hand thing, it still looks very nice. i really like the coloration. don't worry about the hand though, to be honest it just looks like it's handing the gun off to someone else.
