I think you mean courtier, mastablasta. A courtesan is what you might call a geisha. Pretty good job anyway though. You've got the clothing down very well.

I like it, you got his clothes down very nicely I believe. :) When you go to complete it definately add some values and shading.

I know its just a sketch, but you should try working on more fluid lines. ^_^ The proportoin seems ok, but something about the face is gnawing at my senses....I don't know what, though! >.< But I like the idea.
