WIP: fantasy character: Imp

Had this idea for an illustration based on a Halloween costume...and finally decided to make the time and paint it. I'm doing a detailed drawing first, then I plan on coloring it in Photoshop.

I've been neglecting my drawing while I've been learning 3D modeling, so I'd appreciate your C&C's to help me get back in practice.

This is the base drawing of the Imp-in-waiting character. The second drawing has some corrections to the head (proportion was off) and the right hand which just wasn't looking right.

Here's the drawing after I did fixes to the head and right hand, added horns and wings. For now, the wings are just roughs to see how it works for positioning and scale. They'll likely change somewhat once I've got the background created.

I'll be working on the background tomorrow.

Didn't have time to work on the background drawing today after all. blah.
Updated the left wing, tho.
I've also posted the thumbnail layout (inset image) and scaled it as a background reference layer. If I have the time tomorrow, I'll finish and post the background drawing...and get started on coloring. yay!
