Multiple images into layers in one image

Maybe this has be answered before but I can't seem to find it if it has. Is there a way to open several images in painter 11 (several different seperate sketches) and then use them as layers in a new image. I have different sketches that I would like to combine into one image and then work on that image to complete a single painting. I guess what I'm hoping I'm asking is is it possible to use the layers in one image (the canvas layer or another layer) as layer(s) in another image? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

There's nothing automated. Just cut and paste layers from one doc to another.

Yes, just open the images and drag the layers from one document to the other using the Layer Adjuster (black arrow). NB: If an image is on the canvas layer you will have to select it first.
