So hi everyone.My name is Justas and im 18.I live in Lithuania...so just as many guys here I had some time to lurk arround this place check stuff and everythin but now me and my friend ran out of motivation for hard work..we've decided that after spending some time in the most awesome art sites we saw a lot of awesome work wich gives an artist a boost of inspiration for some time...but now we've ran out of it ..again..so I thought that sometimes there is a way of forcing yourself to work..this SB should help to make that growing period easyer since we made a goal with my friend to try and post here everyday and not just for the number but with the idea of doing the best work possible.I hope you guys will help me out ;] that means kicking in the ass if needed ;D

thanx for the good words people :) really means a lot! so today i did some line work practice from photos...and one portrait study...not much since I have homework shit stuff... ;/ anywayz I feel like i've learned a lot today with lines couz in the past it was always been botherin me and today it was like a new breeze..any critiques? :) so here goes.

Sveikas!
Žiauriai kieti darbai, nereikia taip ant savęs važiuoti ar nusivilti, nes su tokiais darbais Van Damą nugalėtum :)

Paskutiniam darbe tai jos dešinė plaštaka truputi ne ten užlenkta, bet čia totali smulkmė.
Labiau trikdo tai, kad atstumas iki krašto iš nugaros yra ilgesnis, nei iš žvilgsnio pusės.
Ir kad fonas toks ryškus, o ji tokia lovv key. Skaitomumui tikrai padeda, gal tik biški per daug kontrasto. Tikrai jėga. : )

Siūlyčiau daugiau iš natūros kopijuoti, ne nuotraukas. Priedo, jau pakankamai gerai kopijuoji, kad toliau tai darytum.
Ir kai pieši figūras, visados, visados uždėk veidą. Nors belenkokį, porą brūkšniukų.

Peizažus per daug numuilini - dažniau pavartok aštrią žymią bent jau kai kuriem siluetam.

Kaip, tarkime, čia?


O tokiuose pastaruosiuose kūriniuose, kai “randomu” varai, ir žiūri, kas gausis, svarbiausia yra kompozicija ir žymės. Joks figūratyvumas ar piešimas ar tapyba nereikalinga, nebent ant pačio galo, kai išryškėjo tau kažkokie žmonių siluetai ar statiniai, ar mašinos.
Bet pirmų pirmiausia tai kompoza, sustatai centriukus, ašis, ritmiką.
Žymės tai gal ir žinai, tiesiog pasirinki, kaip pvz, tris išraiškos būdus (mažą vertikalų štrichiuką, banguotą tepliojimą ir švelnų trintuką) ir juos derini hierarchijos, dizaino principais. :)

Kaip realų pavyzdį, paimkime paskutinį darbą.
Yra pas tave dešinėje pusėje kabelių. Kaipo storos tiesios linijos ir plonos lenktos. Tai yra visgi dizaino/žymės elementas, ir jisai neturi atsainiai kabėti kažkur lapatai vienoje atokioje vietoje - jis nėra inkorporuotas į visą dizainą, ir labiau atrodo, jog netyčia kažką tapytojas ten uždėjo, jusdamas poreikį, bet nežinodamas, ką ten galėtų uždėti.
Išgelbėtų arba išmetimas to dizaino/žymės elemento arba pridėti daugiau tų kabelių prie to pastato, svarbiose kompozicinėse vietose, sudarant ašis ar centriukus, ar šiaip kaip dekoracija.

Vat kas blogai tame darbe, tai dizaino totalus eklektiškumas, nežinant kaip suvaldyti ar padaryti jį gerą. Limituok dizaino elementus taip pat, kaip pradžioje limituojami tonai, ar spalvos, ar atstumai (priekis, vid ir fonas), ar kaip visa kita mene. :)

Great SB!!! love the studies, you have great line work, the only thing that i could comment on is probably your values, in some there isn't enough contrast, though its minute so you don't have to worry about it too much, maybe try painting in b/w..

Lookin good man! Much awesomeness since I last was here :) I saw you wrote something about Mullins. I think what makes his work so damn powerful is the complete knowledge of what he's doing. He simplifies it to the extent that there is not one excessive stroke. He knows exactly how to get a certain shape with a certain stroke. Gotta bow to the master of masters :D keep studying his work, it's damn awesome.

Also, about those quick abstracts. It's cool and it really opens up room for exploration. I feel the only tip I can give is put up a goal or a certain something you are going to do with this one piece. Could be explore a certain hue relation ship, or trying to push contrasts a lot etc. That way you can still keep it completely free but with a sense of challenge and accomplishment.

You're doing good work my friend, keep it up!
