Mage sketch - add a couple of nudes

Sketch of a drow mage I did a few months ago. :) I just got a new scanner - the old one died about a year ago, so I'm scanning in the stuff I might want to color in photoshop or painter, and this was one of them.

Everything looks fanastic besides the face. The nose, eyes, and mouth look strange to me. Maybe you should use a photo reference on them? I think it'd do the body some justice.

I normally don't do faces like that - honest. lol.. I was working mostly on foreshortening, which I didn't really have a grasp on, then I was kind of thinking power-crazed look for his face. Almost a mask of power rather than reality. If I colored it, the eyes would probably glow.

But, it would probably benefit from more proportion and normal shape, especially in the eyes, that I agree.

I love Drizzt. And I've been reading the Daughter of the Drow series by Elaine Cunningham. Great books :)

Been working on Anatomy. Doing some action skeletons and some nudes.

Here's a couple of figure studies from photos that I found on the web. I'm going to look around for a life drawing class I can take.
