Hello CA.org!
I'm Katie, I'm 22 and I lurk here a bit, though I've not done anything in the way of actually posting before... I paint all the time but I feel like I'm not learning, and I feel like my work is growing stagnant and boring and that is incredibly depressing. So to help my situation I thought I would start a sketchbook on the forum most likely to give me some good direction.

Anyway, I've attached a couple digital still life paintings I've done. Nothing fancy but I'm hoping to motivate myself to do more of them, I seem to learn from them quite decently. :)

Thanks for looking~!

P.S. I hope I've attached them correctly...

Neither can I, though I cannot see any attachments from anyone right now. I believe there is something funky going on with the site... :0

A still life work-in-progress. I started this on a sunny day, and since then it has been really overcast so I haven't been able to work on it. :P

Hey Katie.

I'd really suggest you spent more time on your studies. They look like sketches and the glass one looks more like an unfinished sketch.

The purse Is going great.
But Don't just copy what you see. Unless you want to take the job of a Xerox machine :D

If you're waiting for the sun to come out to finish it.. try to do it yourself.
Doing studies and not applying them won't teach you how to draw from imagination.
Just try it, if it looks like crap. Finish it when the sun comes out :)
