Hmmm… still no comments?
Updated one looks really good and I like it the way it is, but I’m sure you’ll come up with some last minute “surprises”.
Nice job ty !

Hey Ty. I happen to have your Grendel T-dome entry on my desktop! I was looking back and forth between the 2 and think that the bright white highlights you've added are a little too
much on the new version. Maybe pick a couple small spots on the middle of his back (maybe part of his head too) where the light is hitting strongest and tone down the rest closer to the original. Awesome piece!

I like it ty, its a good composition, great coloring scheme!
If I were you, I would do the following:
-for the rocks, use a big ass brush and get some real contrast going between light and dark; and
-for the water, put in some ripples (but try not to use the smudge tool
Also I like the sharp highlight better along with the full capacity penciling. Last of all, since in some places your sketch and color job don't match up, I would erase those areas of pencil, Gj over all! :D
EDIT: Fwhoof almost forgot, I would make those claws look nice and shiny by adding a little touch of bright white to certain areas.

totally cool, man! You got a good level of detail without letting it become distracting, and your version of grendel is truly horrifying. My one suggestion would be to work in some more color variation like maybe some greens so its not so "binochromatic" haha.

yes the yellow highlight is a definite improvement.. for some reason the claws dont seem solidly on the pile of bones.. and even with them being black like that, wouldnt there be some highlight on them as well? Just real minor stuff to point out in an otherwise stellar piece..
