Hi people,

I have been lurking here for a very long while and have finally decided to make a sketchbook to motivate me to get better and remind myself to kick my lazy ass.

my weak points are digital, backgrounds and colour, so hopefully with these in mind i will get better.

Thanks guys, I'm working at the moment on improving my digital technique particularly with colour so that hopefully when I try out something based on imagination alone, i will be able to pull it together without ref. Is this not how it goes?

Great start for your sketchbook man you should check out the Crimson Daggers its a daily study group. check out the crimson daggers sketchbook on here

if you wanna get better at backgrounds and color it's best to practice bgs and color! address your weaknesses and tackle them :) try relating your studies too. for example if you painted some red strawberries try making a red character to apply the color you learned. or paint a soldier from ref and try making an imaginary futurstic marine from your head. hope this makes sense?
