It works fine, except that when you draw really slow, the brush line you draw wiggles and squirms alot, making a slow curve or circle drawing really impossible. This does NOT happen with Windows 2000 for some odd reason.

So I moved my Win XP Pro to my ghetto/web box, and put a copy of Win2000 Pro on the workstation.

I'm not sure if this is a Cintiq only issue, or happens with all Wacom tablets, but I was able to duplicate this bug in my friend's workstation as well. He also uses Cintiq 15X.

I'd say the best OS for use with Painter 7 is by far Windows 2000. The worst is OSX. Brushes are painfully slow on OSX for some reason, and Painter 7 is now supposed to be OSX native! I think Corel just really pooched the Painter 7 transition to OSX.
