I may work this more but I wanted to keep it gritty and in a way, unfinished...
I'm sad that its done... it was fun... like this style... it was very refreshing...

I really, really like the colour scheme in this piece. The textures and lighting are top notch as well. The only negative crit that I can offer is that I find it a bit difficult to sus out what exactly the subject matter of the piece is. For example, is the creature behind the guy good or bad? And the guy has an almost synthetic feel to him, as if he could be a machine made to look human.
I'd like to know more about your inspiration for this piece, but all in all, I really like what you've done :)
Lets see some more in this vein ;)
Best,

i really like the upper part, but in some way the lower parts of the image looks alittle "filtered", i really dont know why, its alot of effect in the pic but its somehow flat... maybe some more secondary lights or ?
good work tho, keep posting !

Felt bad for leaving this hanging... thanks guys for the eyes. I really wanted to do something different. I was very excited about the style but the piece fell flat... in reference to the comments... the idea itself was to work on something that would send me to work with paint all over my hands... I went crazy with the oil and enjoyed it - I guess that's the most important...
I left the big dude static to exaggerated the guy in front of him... the angles are all off for the same reason... there really are no angles and I never really "worked" in layers - although I obviously used overlay... Strangely if working in digital, I find so many strive to make something look traditional, but if there is too much it looks "filtered". I guess I'll need to watch that... and as I've found out leaving it purposely unfinished is not necessarily a good idea.
Anyway - thanks for the comments and critiques.
