haven't posted much in the sketches forum but here's a witch, on her way home from shopping at the local village

still has some kinks in it - but part of a planned series, and will be painted so any crits appreciated

Haha thats awesome. Great line work and shading; you make her look really evil. Her face seems a little flat from the rest of the picture for some reason, but that could just be me. GREAT WORK

She should wear some undies because crotch splinters are bad:p

But i think you need to downsize the butt a bit it looks like she's about to fall of (away from the picture), and also maybe add something to tie it together at the end of the broom (maybe some kind of knot).

I like the way its not painted as an old woman but more like a somehow decayed younger woman.

How are you gonna color it? Are you gonna go with dark colors because of the subject? Or bright ones because of the baby?

OH man you know what would be really nice, all dark except where the baby is and there is some light coming from the clouds below onto it.

Spock - glad you noticed that, I wanted to make her young, still beautiful but starting to get severe around the edges

meDraw - haven't decided, I tried a quick version using dark colors and it didn't come together, your tip's sweet though I may steal it

Nice drawing......I hope that wood is polish or she'll be having some major splinter problems down there you know what i mean....lol
