Two months ago, I replaced my old graphire 4 with a medium bamboo fun pen & touch because it was starting to act up. The pen had to be much closer than normal to the tablet to move the cursor and drawing with it produced broken lines. Recently, my bamboo fun started developing its own problems as well. It started out with an intermittently stuck side switch and yesterday it started behaving exactly like my old graphire 4 before I replaced it.

Here's the thing. I plugged in my graphire 4 and it's working again. I set aside my bamboo fun for a day, and when I plugged it in a few hours ago to test it before sending it in for repairs it was working perfectly. Also, I tried plugging in both tablets into another computer when they were still acting up. The problem didn't go away. I'd usually suspect something wrong with the hardware and that could still be the case, but it's happened twice now on two different tablets. Can anything other than defective hardware cause something like this to occur? I'm using the latest drivers.
