work in progress - bout half done i guess. how can I improve it? - I'm pretty inexperienced in digital stuff.

ok I need help - I want to refine it more but I can't work out how! those thick dark lines are a bit overdone and the armour needs serious work, but otherwise, i just want to sharpen and detail it more. give me some advice!!

i don't know much about digipainting but i can say something in general:
the place of the light source doesn't seem defined. when i look the overall of the pic, i can say (though barely) that the light comes from right or somewhere in middle; but the highlight on the shield (which is most obviously seen) is on the left.
also you might want to darken the right leg more to add depth...
one more thing:D
the goblin's left arm (or the hand, to be more precise:) ) should be seen from behind the shield. the shield seem very close to the body but there is no space left for the arm it seems...
