Well, so far i love it. I think it lives up to ut2003's hype :D
The vehicles are great, onslaught is cool, the sniper rifle rocks and the music on the deathmatch map is killer. Whatcha think?

Here's my thoughts on the demo:
The 2003 pulse rifle looked better. I'm not sure what the new version is supposed to be.
The sniper rifle doesn't fit well with the other bulky weapons.
It's hard to judge the scale of the maps since there's no familiar objects, thus the player appear to be moving like a snail although it's not.
The bots are annoying with the link gun (both 2003 and 4).
Cool vehicle physics.
Tank main gun is fun to fire.
Super effective vehicle weapons are teh gay. It's also annoying how the missile doesn't explode if you shoot other stuff. I very much dislike those sort of 'game balance' hacks.
The vehicles are too light. If someone shoots the jeep with a pulse rifle it's tossed around like mad, as much as a player although it's much heavier etc.
As a fan of Quake 1, I disliked the whole 'balanced weapons' thing.
The gameplay is quite shallow. Maybe it's just me being more of a RTS/Tribes fan though.

I'm not too fond of it either. The graphics don't even really impress me. Isn't that what unreal is all about? The lightning/sniper gun thing is kind of fun. Thats about it.
Nice avatar btw Prometheus.

i second that :)
the only difference being that i am not really a rts fan but an avid shooter fan.
compared to games with tactical or strategical background, like the tribes series for example, the gameplay doesn't offer too much tactical depth. its just like deathmatch with some vehicles thrown in. no good.
compared to games that focus on actual gameplay, mastering of physics and the like, it doesn't offer enough depth in that department by far either. those doublejumps are good for a laugh, though :)
my guess is that ut is an attempt to be the jack of all trades, appealing to everybody who likes shooters and their cat.
jack of all trades types were never known to excel at anything besides utter mediocrity.

I am a UT-aholic. first off. so I am just tickled that I get to use vehicles to literally mow over an opponent. I feal the weapons/vehicles are well balanced. Playing the demo everyday at lunch I'm learning techniques for each that give you an edge. So far I'm diggin it.
