I am current taking bids for a 20 page black and white comic book. This is a silly and humorous super-hero team book. I am looking for an animated style or a classic super-hero comic style.

This particular project will publish 2 to 3 times a year. I will be self-publishing and I will promote the book (and all titles) heavily and faithfully.

The budget range is between $200 and $400. All characters for the first issue are already designed. No character designs are necessary by the artist.

CONTACT INFO: oldworldcomics@gmail.com

WORKING TERMS: This is a Work-for-Hire contract. All art becomes property of Old World Comics. A Work-for-Hire contract MUST BE SIGNED between us.

The artist can give a quote for the time frame, and this can be negotiated. Once the project is award to the artist, the artist should begin working on pencils sketches, and these should be submitted via e-mail at LOW RESOLUTION for approval. Once all sketches have been approved, the artist can do ink finishes.

PAYMENT TERMS: Once the art is finished and complete, the artist may bill me for FULL PAYMENT. I will pay in full by Paypal, Money Order, or Cashier Check. Once payment is received, the artist can than submit the finished art.

BIDDING DEADLINE: April 2, 2010.

I am looking for someone who is reliable and honest, who will take the same pride in this book as I myself will. I hope to establish a lasting working relationship with this artist. Thank you for your consideration of this project.

Are you saying that in the best of cases you'll pay 20$ per pencilled and inked page?

Yes and only payable AT THE END, which should make it a pass for everybody.

Hey Inkwell, silly and humorous describes your budget as well. How about if the artist just pays you for the privilege?

this is a good point, you are talking about essentially full time work, for £10 a day.

Well, the post could be worse. He could say "I can pay a small page rate...I'm paying out of my own pocket" Well, the artist works with his own hands.
