Hey awesome site!!! :chug: I was just wondering what peoples thoughts were on drawing people in public. I always need people to draw, but I think people would think I was wierd if I drew them in public, also people are always moving. What do yall do?

It's amazing how much people move, even doing generall non-active activities. The easiest people to draw are people who are reading or people who are all paying attention to one person (like during a lecture or watching a musician or something). They tend not to move quite so much. I've seen several people suggest libraries as places to draw people. Coffee shops/cafes are hit and miss with me. Otherwise, use the oppourtunity to do quick gesture sketches if you're outdoors at, say, a park.
There's someone on here (can't remember his name) who does some badass drawings while in the subway. Hopefully he'll chime in on how he whips those out.
Oh yeah...and old people...they don't move much ;) and they have some cool facial features to draw. :D

I think the person fukifino is talking about is Mindcandyman. I know he draws people on the train, just quick sketches and all. He has a thread on this forum that can be found here:

Actually, he may be speaking of Retro. Retro has a subway creatures series of threads where he did sketches while riding the subway. A pretty good series of threads.
