Hey folks.

I finally finished the drawing I've been working on for the last week (inbetween a variety of other things).

C&C welcome.

Looks really good actually. Maybe you could have more range of value. Maybe push your darks a little more for more dramatic lighting. Nice line work and use of texture. Any plans on painting it?

Actually,

I do plan on painting it. I've been toying with a new(for me!)flat type of style that I'm going to apply.

We'll see what happens.

Thanks!

I am really diggin the composition/angle! It seems like you are going to fall into the picture.

Paint it up. It would be great with well designed lighting.

That's great, a werewolf with dreadlocks :)

The perspective on this is very wonderful. Really shows off the action.

WOW looks awesome the perspective is great. I would like to see some blood on that wound though!

Very nice piece. I love your use of texture. All done with just a pencil right?...even better:)

Hey everybody,

Thanks for all the kind words! This was all done in pencil, 3.5 Koh-i-nor mechanical pencil, actually.

I'm working on the colour piece now, so, I'll post the progress as I go.

Sorry to be the one to say this..
I really like the drama of the pose, and the drawing line qualities are really nice...
but the guy with the sword... yeah... his hands... holding the hilt of the sword are in an... umm.. awkward place. You may want to consider that.
Sorry again, had to say it.

I'm completely in love with everything but the wolf's face. While I know there's a facial expression for "suddenly getting a blade right in the torso," which has a subdued shock/pain/dismay feeling to it, and your wolf is certainly reaching for it, he really looks apathetic.

I think it's because we can't see that left eye as much as we need to in order to really feel the "oh shit" expression on the wolf's face. Right now, it looks like his attention was caught by something up and to the right of the man. It just so happens that there's a sword in his pec.

I dunno. Everything else is spot-on. Your pencil work is amazing, and the anatomy and perspective of everything is absolutely astonishing. It's a wonderful image. However, I'm just not seeing as much emotion from the wolf as a piece like this deserves.

Argh, I hope this makes sense, I only got about 4 hours of sleep last night.

very nice, i think if i had a nitpick it would be maybe to see a little more to the left. I like the angle, perspective and think its pretty dynamic.

Dude, sweet stuff. Its got nice perspective and the textures on the werewolf looks great. My only crits is that a drawing that awesome needs some blood in it.

Heh.

Thanks everybody for the great comments!

Though I have to say I've never seen such a blood-thirsty lot!

I'm struggling with the colours as we speak...hopefully I'll have some stuff to show in a day or two.

Thanks again!

Here's the tonal version.

I'd say it's about 85% done.

Jer that looks great I love the tone. One thing though I'd still love to see some blood coming out of the womb or on the sword just an opinion.
