Hi. I'm pretty new here.
The reason why I decided to join this site, of course, is to become a better artist, because recently I noticed I hit a "wall". I noticed I have a limited drawing ability. I seem to have a habit of drawing a small variety of poses for my characters, and not only that, I seem to have a habit of making them face left the majority of the time, which bugs me for some reason.
While I treat drawing as a hobby and nothing more, I still have this desire to become the best that I can possibly become. My goal really is to expand out of my comfort zone and to be as well-rounded as possible.
Now the drawings. Looking at the two you can probably guess where my username came from. lol
This my most recent artwork. So any constructive criticism and advice is appreciated.
EDIT - Oh crap! For some reason the attachments didn't go through. Please give me a moment.

Hey there welcome to concept art!~ :D
For help on expanding poses, you might find http://posemaniacs.com/?pagename=thirtysecond helpful.
I mean they're not pokemon, but you could problebly incoorperate them into pokemon? [well they pretty much have a lot of simlilarities to people, just a more animal-like-ness to themselves]
But it seems the more often you pratice a vairety of poses, the more easier it gets to do your own over time. [at least thats how its starting to work for me XD]
Like you I have a problem with my faces looking a same direction all the time tooXD
All I really think you can do, is look up referencs of Weavile with its head in diffrent positions, and keep trying to redraw those positions, while avoiding your confort zone face. You're pretty good at drawing the same face X3
Maybe you could buy a Weavile figurine or something and tilt it different angles and directions and try to draw those?
[or maybe they have some computerized 3d model of him somewhere on the net? X3]
Looks good though, keep drawing!~ :D

I really appreciate the advice you've given me. I think I now have an idea on what I need to work on. It's a start.
And thank you. I'm glad you like them.

It's been a while since I posted anything here. But I thought I could use some constructive criticism one of my pictures.
Here's a picture of facial expression I made for one of my characters, Ralph the Kangaroo. I studied my own expressions in the mirror when I drew this.
