Sketch from yesterday.
Design for my character Wren.
The odd black lines coming from her back are manifestations of mental scars from her childhood.

What this design is ultimately for I have no idea.

Her left leg doesn't quite seem to touch the ground.

Very good. though, i dont think you need the pubes. a little distracting. and the arms are slightly long. the tips of her fingers should line up horizontaly with her crotch. [just like mine ! lol]

I like it, yes get rid of those pubes. they a bit of a turn off, if you get what i mean.

Suprisingly they don't bother me. And I rather like the lankiness.

The arms are actually longer on purpose =/
I am not sure what that purpose IS... but it was a conscious decision.

As for the pubic hair showing... I have had very varying views on it. I have one or two say they think it ruins the drawing... and others that have said it made the drawing (surprisingly one of them was female).
I think I am going to keep it myself... I didn't think pubes were all that sexy until I saw a particular photo a week or so ago. Anyway... its not like its thick or anything.

nice - I love the dejected feel she has.

She reminds me of... my girlfriend when I was 16. Marci. Wren's got a sort of young, awkward gait to her that just screaems barely legal.

i think the reason that the arms stood out to me in the first place was the sleeve. if you made another drawing where one arm went across her stomach, and her hand was on her other elbow, holding up thatsleeve, it would de-confuse the arm situation.
i have to say, the posture and the face both give a very strong impression. lots of character. maybe if you developed it... wrote a short story... it would give eveything reason. kinda glue it all together.

I'd hit it.... (add another black line, lol)

Looks good, but I don't think the face matches the personality you have described. Very cool drawing!

see, i'd look and be all like: whoo hoo.....then i would notice the pubes and go uh.......er......um.......*cough* and surreptitiously hand her a razor.......and some barbersol.

Kunglejing: Thanks :) Although... if you knew more about the story she fits into... you might see that the face fits.

Koopa: Heh, I always get drilled on poses... I always seem to draw lackluster standing ones. Ah well. Anyway, I do have a increasingly complex story for her. Originally I was thinking about games... but I think it would make a better graphic novel. Although... I have so much work here it might not happen.

Everyone else: Danke!

New sketchbook page...
Most of it is from today... except for the top middle which I dislike intensely.

I like the sytlized limbs and I especially like the way you handled the hair. Are you going to ink and color it?

hey, no worries on the pose. everything looks right there; just because the're static doesn't mean the drawings suck. personally, im finding that i have a hard time drawing anyone with a unique pose, i always od the same 3/4 view standing hand-in pockets/folded over chest thing. as long as it looks okay... besides, as long as youre not drawing a cell/scene/poster its fine to do boring poses. they are fine for deciding on clothes, setting up stuff like that.

I think the original matches all in all. I like her hair and face.
