Medusa (the architeuthis variety)

Here's a rendition of Medusa I've been thinking about for a while. I like squids, I like tentacles, ta-da Medusa with Tentacles. I'm in progress with her still, and would love any advice or suggestions, especially about the space around/behind her, which I am a little stuck on.

i like your concept alot :D i think that the way the cloth falls opn the floor is off a bit (perspective) I dont feel the medusa vibes though, to me they are more like dreds. Maybe you can incorperate the sea (squids) some type of sailors (water refrence yet again) and of course her trademark stone spectators. Just some ideas though....
