The question is simple, since I'm applying, So far my portfolio is comprimised of only digital stuff. Is it good to just submit digital work? Or should I at least include some traditional pieces in there? Another thing - do you prefer more finished illustrations, or are sketches/studies fine as well?

medium doesnt really matter....ive never not hired someone because they couldnt draw traditionally. i think it really boils down mainly to what you want to work in, or that you are the most comfortable in. i think unless you are trying to be specifically a fine artist who shows traditional works in galleries, digital is a very valid and convenient medium that works well for almost all forms of illustration.
in answer to your second question, i think if its a good drawing, it doesnt have to be finished, but it should be indicative of your best in terms of accurate draftsmanship...does that make sense?
i cant speak for everyone, but thats my 2 cents

Thanks coro! Currently I'm more comfortable with digital, so I think that's the way I'll go. Thanks for the tips about the sketches as well, i understand exactly what you mean :)

I completely agree with Coro!
Medium does not matter, show what you do best! Exhibiting good drawing is the most important aspect.
