Hi, I'm a 'new member' here and this is my first post, although I've been watching the site from a distance for a little time now. I bought a cintiq 12 wx but cant seem to fathom the set up for PS/illustrator etc...my problem is that i need the menu bar with FILE EDIT LAYERS etc to show in my cintiq screen rather than my imac screen however I cant seem to 'drag' it to the cintiq nor can I find a setting. Does anybody know how to do this? Ive already tried 'mirror display' in preferences but this means it wont acknowledge my pen on the cintiq only my imac mouse argggghhh. Ive also tried repositioning my display set up in preferences with the cintiq on all 4 sides of the monitor to no avail...the best I can get is my dock in the bottom of the cintiq by dragging the cintiq display underneath the Imac display in preferences.
My set up is an imac 27" running snow leopard OSX and Cintiq 12 wx.
Also I am desperately struggling to get good color calibration on the cintiq (whites are very off white, blacks aren't very deep, and brightness is pretty poor. ... is a spyder or such device really going to make a massive difference to this problem ? Will it add to the lack of brightness on the cintiq if I colour manage with a spyder or other device?
I really appreciate any input anybody might offer.
