Hey there. I've recently gotten back into drawing constantly. While this is good, I don't have a good handle on anatamy quite yet, so I plan to start working on it. The thing is, I have no idea where to start. Self portraits? Use a mirror? Find a life drawing class? Randomly do image searches via google (I guess thats the lazy mans way...)?

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Do it all.. As long as you are drawing and trying to do something with your drawings. And draw ALOT.. then you cant fail :) Self portraits have helped me a whole lot with head drawings.. even though I've only made one complete sp I've drawn my eyes and nose about a thousand times.

Life drawing class : I have no experience with these. But going to cafés and such has helped me a bit.

Photographs : My main source of drawing material.. As long as you´re doing it fair (not tracing and keeping a little distance) then its ok.

cheers

Good advice- Think I'm going to do a lot of self portrates and a few drawings of some stuff off the net (yay for google image search!). I'll post some stuff once I get a hold of a scanner. Heh, my first attempt has been sucessful yet wrought with errors- you'll see when I upload it.

I bet you're crapping your pants in anticipation.

Sorry about the size.

This is the first time I've done something like this by the way. Keep that in mind when criting it.

(Oh, and I didn't spend more then 3 seconds on the hair)
