Ok rather than have 3 separate threads I would like to just have one thread where I can showcase all three projects I'm working on.

All of the projects are in a 44-inch scale for height, will come with a base and have at least some sort of posability in at least the arms and head.

All parts of the figures that are supposed to light up, will with a slew of LEDs and will be powered with a standard "wall-socket" plug in.

The bases will rotate the figure and also be lit where needed. It will also come with an optional plexi-case if wanted to protect the piece.

So what are the projects going to be? and what will they have with them? Take a peek below.

44-inch Optimus Prime.
Now with this project, I started a thread already, but if you haven't seen it yet, you can find that thread here:
http://statueforum.com/showthread.php?p=3185541#post3185541

44-inch Iron Man
We're doing an Iron Man with interchangeable feature. How are we going to do this? LoL Very carefully. But in all seriousness, this will light where it should, in the eyes, chest, hands, feet and under the "ribs" where the equipment has a break between the plates. The figure will stand 44-inches tall, and and base will be another 18-24inches in height both to give the statue a better stance on the floor AND to accommodate the lights, motor and power source. We'll be throwing in some surprises as the sculpt progresses, so keep checking back for that.

44-inch War Machine
War Machine is going to be another figure we want to take on as well and should really compliment Iron Man standing roughly 46-48inches tall. The War Machine will have all the same features as the Iron Man but with the addition of his weaponry.

Future Projects
Projects in the future should include a variation of Spawn and Clown, Batman and Catwoman variation, Goro from Mortal Kombat, Captain America variation, Darth Vader and General Grievous and a slew of others over the next year and some, and if I have it my way, I'll be doing both solids and mixed media formats... So, should be pretty damn snazzy.

So with out further ado, here is the first hour of work into the Optimus Prime and Iron Man. War Machine pics should come a little bit later today if all goes well.

Yea, I know, all that hype and I give you guys and gals 2 pics LoL

Thanks for looking!!

Hey, 6, you have mapped out a really ambitious year for yourself !!! Thats great ! It ought to keep you off the streets for a while. How about adding one more thing to that already busy agenda? How about making something from you own imagination. Something totally new and fresh. Something that is from your own twisted mind? Just a thought, maybe you could slide that in between your other projects.
Burn on Dude, work till your fingers bleed, and then use your toes !!!

What up!? Thanks for the kind words - Yea I've been wanting to do some of my own stuff for a while... And this isn't for the year, this is just to get me through the 2nd week of June LoL

That's the only bad part about doing commissions is that I want to do my own thing, but these pay the bills Lol

Some time after June I've got some really twisted stuff I plan on throwing out there, so by all means keep your eyes on this and other threads. I LOVE doing "holy" art, so be ready for a sculpt of "Heaven vs Hell" and another called "The Battle Within"

Gonna be some awesome stuff.

Thanks for the words!!

Thanks THX... I'm trying!!

Quick update - only had a few minutes today to work on this - so I started the bridge of the nose, now I can cast and sand it, as the rest of the head will be scaled and based off this one part... Because all of the cuts are straight, I am using a blade more than tools, but I have to be honest, trying to sculpt the "damage" in there, like the dings, nicks and scrapes - it's tough...

Just found your thread man, it looks like you're gonna be extremely busy for a while, going from what you posted it seems you've been gifted with some freakishly fast hands.BTW Do you sculpt on top of the foamboard?
I have a project to build a faux-robot for a parade float for 2011 and have no clue as to where to begin I will be extremely interested in your progress.I have to say I love how this is going so far.Thanx for sharing such an awesome and ambitious project it is clear you have amazing talent.

They 6th... Thanks for the kind words... Yea I've been forced in to having the quickness LoL - it's nutts with how fast I have to have projects done sometimes on the professionanl level. On the personal level, I know I just don't like waiting longer than I have to when it comes to pieces, so I try to pass that one.

As far as the foam board, depending on the size of the piece, I will decide if I am going to sculpt on top of it or not... In this case, YES I am going to sculpt on top of the foam. For two reasons - It will save on clay and help with scaling for one, and two, the shapes needed for the big pieces, will all ready be mocked out, so for the small pieces, I can just do a general size-scaling and sculpt from there - if that made any sense.

Is there any where you can go in to what it is you're going to be doing?? even if it's a PM Maybe I can suggest something to give you a different build perspective if needed??

Again, thanks for the kind words!!!!
