View Full Version : Can you rotate without requiring OpenGL?

Is there any way to rotate your picture in PS without requiring in OpenGL? By rotate, I mean quickly rotating simply to draw a line easier, not transforming the picture. Like in Painter you can do it easily without requiring any 3D but I prefer PS.

I'm bit confused by your questions, probably becase i've never workd in Painter. However, did you try to rotate the canvas? Is that what you're looking for?

Record an action that rotates your canvas 90 degrees then bind the action to a key.

No, I don't mean rotate canvas or rotate the image. You know how you can use the hand tool to pan around? Kind of like that. In Painter, you can rotate an image to change the view non-destructively. Like in some of those speed painting youtube videos, I always see ppl doing it. They quickly rotate a picture to how they like to draw a curve, then quickly rotate back. I can't tell what program they're using because they're always in fullscreen mode.

Nope I don't think you can, you have to get a compatible card too.
