Hello everyone. Well this is my first foray into the Finished Work section and I have to say that I am proud of myself for actually finishing a piece. This Thunderdome was a real learning experience for me and I will definitely go for the next one.

The idea is a guy in a mechanical suit flying up and away from missiles, and firing his arm cannons at him. Just in case ya couldn't tell cause I didn't do it well enough.;)

As this is my first finished work I would love to get some c&c on it. (Though please no comments on technical possibility, as this is clearly sci-fi and currently impossible.)

I think you've done a very nice job. The motif in itself is really nice I think and the idea is good.
A little crit or visual suggestion, I think the the shading of the robot would look even cooler more realisticly shaded, I mean that the enviroment affects the metal a bit more, since you've started shading it with rather high contrast...and since the sky looks very realistic.

Huge improvement over the sketches seen in the other section.

Nice shading and text/graphics overlays.

you should try finishing more!

Thnx guys. And yeah, I probably should finish more. But I get lazy if not motivated or the concept starts to look worse and worse to me and then I usually drop it. But I think after sitting myself down and proving to myself that I can do something presentable, I will try and finish more.

EDIT: Oh and about the sketches. I usually sketch fast and keep it loose. Unfortunately I am not good enough so that my fast loose sketches look good, so...

Nice, I saw the same pic on Polykarbon, I like the changes.
