hoy.. stuck.. third try with painter, portrait of my girl, face pretty much done..exept for the eyes that look to intense somehow, hair and body need more work, what to do with background? leave it as it is or detailed? , gargh.. want a wacom.

The head seems to large for the body.
Plus you need to add some hard edges into the picture, at the moment it appears as if its out of focus.
The shading/blending or the face and hair seem pretty good so far. Nice skin tones.

I agree with Sevans
Put some reflections in the eyes, study some other paintings of portraits thatīs similar to yours if your uncertain of how to paint the reflections in a good manner. You donīt get the reflections from an ordinary photo.

added darker and lighter tones and tried to fix the eyes . . might change 'em again though .. oh, and removed the bod,

The problem with the eyes are that the irises are too small. If you make them larger the eyes will look right. The mouth looks a bit off center to me. I don't know if I would change it though, it's a very nicely done mouth. I don't think it's that noticeable. It's a good job overall. I like your choice of background color. Good luck with the rest of it.
