I think this thread is supposed to be a for a collection of wallpapers. It would be kinda confusing if you tried to use one of those other images as a desktop background.

I don't really know of many good wallpapers, but you'll find a staggering amount of cool high-res space images here http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/imagegallery/index.html and here http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/archivepix.html

Might want to give some of them a polish in photoshop though.

You gotta admit... That Orion nebula seems to have a pretty good idea of composition. :)

(BTW, make sure you put it through "auto contrast" in photoshop)

Ok sorry It took me this long on getting some content for here :(
but any way here is wallpaper pack 1...
it has wallpapers in 16:10 aspect ratio with a 2560 x 1600 resolution or higher so no screen size gets a gritty image :)

When I went to check it out, all the image files contained faults and they couldn't be opened. Neither in the browser or my image viewer.
However, you can still download those images on this page (http://hubblesite.org/newscenter/archive/releases/2006/01/image/a/).
