hey y'all, this stuff was done for thunderdome but since i doubt my partner's going to show up i thought i would post the work here, along with the finish product. hope you enjoy.

I'm surprised no one has commented on these pieces yet, they're highly original. I particularly like how the highlights are minimal and seem to creep out from the darks. The all around dark vibe is cool too.

I envy your style!! Nice work and can I ask how you choose your color schemes when you start a painting? I'm trying to get into that kind of painting.

very unique! I liked the light pencil gestures, but the colored ones are just outstanding. It's interesting to see how you got from pencil to finshed.

the only thing that disturbs me is the bright white background. imo that destroys the overall feeling.

thanks everyone for you're replys, its very much appriciated. Lord Brain's right about that white background, gonna have to do something about it then.

Great work! These are some interestingly designed and well rendered characters. I really like the ammount of asthetic embelishment in their costumes. they really suggest a lot of depth.

Wow, totally cool and unique stuff!

The only thing bugging me is the white "cut-out" feel. Maybe go back in and make a nice, blended heavy outline.....

Great characters though.

I like the 2nd one most.The form he is standing on/to his left makes him some kind of initial(don't know if it's same in english-the big decorative letters),one of the early medieval.

should have done this in the beginning. a paint over to get rid of some that white, hope its decent enough.
