hello.. I am talmir.. a 21 year (at the time of this posting) and I want to be a good amateur artist.

now then.. This thread is a progress thread and as such I appreciate any and all feedback you have for me. In the near future I will post a whole lot of anatomy studies.. sketches from life, drawings from life and more.. for now I'm going to start it off with a little something that shows my artistic talents so far..

Good drawing for no refs, although proportions of the face are incorrect, especially the ear which is too low. The upper part of the ear should be aligned with the eyes. Look at yourself in the mirror and observe.

You should start trying out lights and shadows. Don't be afraid to just take an object, put it on your table, put a light, and draw. Move the light, observe, draw. Do this with different objects.

I am often doing the excerceise you mentioned. And about the ear. Its cut out in half by hair so the hair is kind of covering the ear.
