This is a cyborg called Bionic Bjoern. He has human parts cloned from a norse berserker warrior. I wanted him too look as if he would fit right into a cheesy 80s sci-fi movie.

LOvely stuff, a genuine 80s feel saturates the piece. Good work. My only critique is the head - it seems far too wide and brawny, and contrasts (poorly) with the delicate mechanisms of the cyborg additions.

WOW looks like something you would find on badmovies.org! Almost like a rebuilt Serious Sam. I love the details and nice work!

Excellent work. The first thing I thought of when I saw it was that it belonged in a Sega Genesis game, or that it was an action figure from an 80s cartoon, except more detailed. I feel like a kid just looking at it.

Thanks Christopher!
That is exactly the reaction I was hoping for when making this guy! :-)

I love it!
I just realised it was a digital 3d model a few seconds ago, since it looked so real haha.
The legs are a bit delicate compared to the heavy torso

Thanks Pavel !
Yes the legs are a bit more delicate but I wanted to make clear that those are bionic. Thus I gave them more of an "armored endoskeleton" look.

Very nice work! - Is it a digital model? jeesh, I thought it was a sculpt! :)
I LOOOVE dodgy 80's movies and this guy is perfect for that! He would fit right into "The Eliminators" alongside the Mandroid!

Here are some pics from an upcoming figure of the character I got made in China. I am not shure yet if I will be selling him as a model kit or a fully painted figure...

Hey congratulations on the figure!
Why did the face change for the toy version?
So how was it possible for you to print the 3d model out? I heard of 3d printers but never really saw the results.
How does it work? you can load it with different materials to print with?r
Do 3d scanners exist as well for real life sculpts?
I would love to know how much it costs to get a 3d model printed, so it would be approporiate to discuss it in a Private Message. If you could disclose that info, I would be very appreciative!

Hi Pavel!
I actually made both an angry face and a neutral face for the figure. I just happen to think the neutral face looks better on a figure.
The figure was actually not printed with a 3D scanner but sculpted from scratch from my reference.

Please release as an unpainted model kit - I would love to opportunity to tinker around and devise my own colour schemes.
I even wonder whether I could rig this guy to a wire armature and get him articulated. How much would it cost?

Hi Mordus!
I am not 100% shure how to release him yet but it will probably be a mix of painted and unpainted versions. I usually make small production runs of 50 units with the price for a figure between 45 and 65 Euros depending on size, scale ect. I will know the exact price once the I have figured out the way to produce this guy.
I would love to see you make an articulated version.
Thanks, Hauke

Looks very dangerous :)
I like him - maybe another colour of the mechanical parts of his body?

Really nice work, love the way you've combined the mechanical with the organic in this piece.
