View Full Version : How do I do corrective perspective like in those street drawings that appear 3D?

I want to tilt the plane of the drawing in real space (my paper will be at a drastic incline) but have the drawing from that angle appear to not be distored at all. I realize that it will then appear to be distored when viewed straight on and will be wider at the top. But is there math that governs this very exact distortion?

For example like those well known street drawings that appear to pop up into the 3-D world but from the side you can see the distortion.

I'm at a loss as to how to accomplish this? O.o Help please

Edited to add: I did try googling it but I was so clueless on even what to call it that google turned up absolutely nothing useful.

I think you can also call it anamorphic pictures:
