Does anyone here have the 'Tiere Zeichnen' book by Bammes?
I've borrowed 'Die gestalt des Tieres' from the school library and it's by far the best book on animal anatomy I've ever come across. But like with all of his books it seems the original has been replaced by a slimmed down version.
And it's almost impossible to find a original copy for sale, and if it does I would have to sell an organ to get it.

I was wondering if there are people who have both books, or looked trough both? How does the Tiere Zeichnen hold up against the Die Gestalt Des Tieres book? Has the text been cut down, or the images, or both?

Both books are listed on Bookfinder.com, make sure you choose german language or they won't come up. The first has an average price of 80 and the second is around 60
The second seems very reasonable for a 500 page book

Did you have a look at Gottfried Bammes "Der Nackte Mensch"

Absolute rocking book. I baught his English translated Human anatomy to clear my concience for downloading such an awesome book.

The english scaled down is crap though it just contains the students works through 3 years of schooling from his teaching. The German book actually has the teaching part in it and his diagramming/teaching starting in the middle somewhere. I'm Afrikaans speaking so German is almost readable and google translates it well from German but it sucks translating it to english but I found the translating to be completely irrelevant. The dude's drawing's are genius works of teaching.

His scaled down translated animal anatomy book are also something worth looking at but I am curious to see the originals now.
